Hi There , Thanks for quick reply , have removed auto box and fixed leak in seal holder plate, but the other leak is engine oil ( as it leaks about a litre in 200km ..... it is pouring out) it is running down the valley and out through the drain hole that is inside the bell housing . It appears to be originating from under the injector pump , do the injectors have oil around them ????? How difficult is it to remove injector pump please ??

Hi, Since it is an '03 model year, there is a ICP sensor located at the back of the engine that are known to blow causing ICP issues. The other obvious symptom would be an oil leak at the top rear of the engine running down to the bottom of the bellhousing. Branch tube internal leaks usually occur only on 2005 to 2007 model years. Another thing to look for, is the tops of the injectors. Some early model years were prone to loose the injector circlips at the tops of the injectors, also causing an ICP (injector control pressure) leak.
You cannot get to manual free online. You have to contact Haynes (1-800-242-4637) manual to request for the service manual.

2004 turbo desiel hilux Kzn 165 noise in engine when under load noise going at around 2000 rpm.

very possible that the noise is combustion ( piston slap) before the required time from a faulty injector that is passing fuel uncontrolled
at lower rpms it is a problem but at higher rpms the fuel being passed may be the required amount or the engine is revving to fast to hear it
I would suggest that you take it to an accredited diesel pump shop for a proper diagnosis , quote and have the injectors serviced

I PUT A NEW HIGH PRESSURE OIL PUMP IN MY 6.0 2003 POWERSTROKE IT RAN GOOD FOR TWO WEEKS THEN STARTED RUNNING ROUGH AND THEN DIED

Ford had a lot of problems with this engine. Most diagnosis requires a factory software scanner or one that can interface with the FICM module (fuel injector control module) Now you can perform injector buzz test and glow plug tests. If you can get running then also do a power balance test these test check fuel injectors statically and dynamically with the common rail oil pressure control sensor. These FICM modules are famous failure parts. Napa auto can get them.

Jeep is burning gas really fast, what can be causing this?

You might want to check the wires that go to the 02 sensor it sounds like when the tune up was done the wires may of become dis-connected. Unless of course the tune up was done to correct the problem. In that case first check for gas leak under car and around gas tank, if OK then, next ( I take it there's no check engine light on) borrow a fuel pressure tester from Auto Zone and test the fuel pressure After you've hooked up the tester run the engine a few minutes then shut it off and watch the gauge it it slowly drops you more then likely have a leaking fuel injector. If in fact this is the case, before you replace the injector run the fuel down to 1/4 tank and add a good fuel injector cleaner to the gas and run until close to empty. Put fuel in tank and drive at least 50 miles to allow fuel system to clean out. If still the same then the injector is bad. Note; You could also have a bad 02 sensor but that should set the check engine light.

Oil drip with oil smells like gasoline

Could be 2 problems. Some rear main seals leak with oil flowing out where trans joins engine. You should crawl under vehicle and look directly up from oil leak, If inside garage use a newpaper to catch current drip.

Gassy oil can be leaking fuel injector draining into oil pan. Sometimes dirty fuel injector will stay open and fuel pressure will continue to drain into motor after vehicle is off. Sometimes stuff like seafoam will clean injectors.

Oil Leaking into the exhaust

hi there, there are chemicals on the market that will soften up the seals but these take time to work i would suggest changing the turbo, you will also have to remove the oil from the exhaust system this can be done with other chemicals like an upper cylinder cleaner feed directly in to the air intake but only after the turbo has be fixed

Ned to change the oil in transfer case

The Z71 typically comes with the auto 4wd transfer case (cannot remember the GM number). This requires AutoTrak II, which is available at a GM dealer. Do not use any other fluid in this transfer case! The previous post was correct in the location of the two plugs, but not on the fluid (the other types of transfer cases by GM use ATF). The transfer case is located under the truck right under the cab. There is a small skid plate under it, and a large driveshaft leaves the rear end of the case heading to the rear differential (axle). If you have the manual or electronic w/o auto 4WD transfer case, you can use Dexron III, but Dexron VI is a better fluid that is also now available at your local auto parts store. Again, if you have the AUTO 4WD button in the dash, use the AutoTrak II fluid from the dealer.

Oil leak coming from around water pump?

Oil travels when it leaks, the most common cause is the cam chain tensioner to the right side of the engine at about the same level as the water pump. You have to remove the bracket holding the power steering pump to gain access. A new seal is required there. Be careful not to undo the entire tensioner, this is spring loaded. Just remove the 13 mm bolt from the centre.

Tuning programs

could be one of about 100 things.. personally, i think it's a combination of things that all happen to brake and fail at the same time. i've also run into this problem.
- need new spark plugs, oil, filters - bad coil pack - bad wiring harness (around 70k miles they tend to cook & crack) - cracked injector o-rings - cracked intake manifold gaskets (upper & lower) - bad O2 senors - bad fuel pump
this is what was wrong with my 2003 isuzu rodeo, 4wd, 6cyl at 90k miles, but i had 2 bad coil packs. figures right?
