IF it's surface rust you should sand down to bare metal, prime then paint. If it's holes and you don't want to weld in new sheet metal patches then go with bondo

If it is a rust leak the only way to fix with out moveing engine is to drain oil , clean area on pan (brake cleaner works well)with a clean rag. Once clean sand area of leak. JB weld mix both tubes on cardboard use putty knife or bondo scrapers to mix and apply to holes in pan. It will last for years let it set up for a couple hours it will be good as new

Hi i wrecked my truck and caved the roof in how hard would it be to fix

Depends on how adept you are at a sawzall and welder. You can get a replacement roof from a junkyard. Cut old one off correctly and replace with used one and weld it back in with preferably a wire welder. Fill joints with bondo and repaint as required. Not impossible, but requires some body repair knowledge.

Water leaking unto front floor carpet when driving through rain

Check around the edges of the windshield for any place water could be forced into the car. Especially if the windshield has been replaced. Check around the cowl that covers your windshield wiper motor. Remove the cowl if possible to check for rust holes or separated seams in the metal. The blower motor intake for the cars HVAC (heater) is often under this cowl. Make sure water isn't getting in through there. If you find a leak around the windshield or a separated seam, some windshield urathane or clear bathroom caulking would work. If you find a rust hole in a non visible place affix a tin or metal patch over it using rivets or your choice of fastener. Welding is the best method. Then cover the patch with short strand fiberglass bondo or something else to seal out water. If you have a hole in the floor you could put a patch on it with rivets or weld, then tar the underside well and put rocker panel coating on the top.

I have a oil leak pan has small crack behind drain plug can i jb weld for temp fix?????

Get it to stop leaking long enough to get a bite on there, rough up the paint with sandpaper and clean it good with lacquer thinner. It will be temp. Bondo might work, fiberglass resin, how about super goop, that stuff is sticky.

I'm painting a fibreglass bodied car,it needed quite a few repairs and so after applying bondo and flatting I first shot 2 coats of primer wet flat with 800 but I could see the original paint and filler in...

I don't understand what you are doing here. What ford has a fiberglass body 800 is to corse thats why it went flat you need a sealer and you don't say what kind of finish or primer but then it sounds like you have got fixed so i don't know

How to remove the fiberglass cap under the vinyl roof on my car?

The car has the entire vinyl roof attached not to the roof but a fiberglass sub roof. To remove well that's the upholstery people secret and why they charge 700. To remove and replace after the glass co. Comes in and replacing e's the rear glass. There is a patent on it and different mold for every car.
