Question about 2004 Acura TSX

1 Answer

Hi, a week ago, my friend vomitted all over the rear seat right behind the passenger side of my car. I brought it to a professional and they supposedly took out all the dirt in the perforations. I also cleaned up some of the dirt in the seatbelt. Yet, it's been a week now and the car still smells. I've tried spraying Febreeze and have put an air freshner in the car but that didn't work. I've been airing the car out pretty much every night with windows open and the smell decreased but is still there. Will the smell eventually go away by itself eventually? Or will I have to get my rear seat replaced?

Dust it liberally with bicarb, rub it well into the area, leave for about an hour then vacuum it off.

Ok, thanks for the help Geoffrey! I'll give it a shot. But when you say bicarbonate, I am guessing that is something along the lines with baking soda, right? Sorry, I'm not sure what bicarbonate is, haha. If so, I should rub baking soda onto the seat and into the perforations as well then vaccumm it off in an hour, correct? Sorry for asking again, I just wanted to verify things before acting on it. Thanks a lot.

baking soda is bicarb(ask your mom)....and yes rub it in ALL over...

Hmm.. was I supposed to mix the bicarb with water?

  • geoff hunter Oct 07, 2010

NO.just use it dry to absorb any moisture/smells.IT WILL WORK.if you need to leave it on for an hour or two......also good for fridges/freezers.

Location of temperature blend door actuator on 2005 ford expedition

Are you looking for the front or rear? The front is behind the glove compartment on the passenger side. The rear one is on the passenger side to the right of the rear third row seat behind the plastic panel.

Water leak on rear floor board 2011 camaro convertible

I had water behind the seat under the rug and it was the bladder in the car. The water runs off the convertible top and into a bladder that directs it out through the bottom of the car. My bladder/hose broke/came apart and therefore water was now coming into the car under the rug with no visible water coming down the inside of the car. It was fixed by Chevrolet a year ago and now the other side must have let go because again I have water under my rug behind the other seat. I am less than pleased. Car is going into Chevy this week and I will again demand that the rug be replaced after the problem is fixed. If I didn't love my car so much I would leave it there because I am furious that this has happened again

Where the battery in my 525 is?

If it is a newer model, it is in the trunk under a panelif you have an older model, check underneath the rear passenger-side seat. For a jump, there is a positive contact you can use under the hood and of course connect the negative to the engine block.
