Question about Ford Explorer

1 Answer

My suv stopped running on me and I took it in and they ran test and reset the sensors. they state that the fuel booster sensor is putting out to much so they reset it. I left with my auto and went uptown and the check engine light came back on. They said it would happen again and then just won't run anymore. They wanted 500 to replace it. Can I buy this sensor and have it put in ealsewhere and just what is this? Thank you Chris

2011 DODGE CALIBER FUEL PUMP RUNs FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS AND THEN STOPS. I put in some stored fuel, drove 1 mile and car bogged to stop.used water displacer. re-started,ran a few seconds and dies.

Well, the signal from the crankshaft position sensor, is supposed to keep the fuel pump running. It appears that you have the signal, otherwise the car would not run. You need to look at fuses and see if there are any fuses blown. Also, the anti-theft system may be causing it. Unlock the doors several times, with the remote, and see if that will help.

My 95 nissan maxima is idling rough and then stalling when i let off the gas or am stopped at a light or stop sign; i have replaced the coolant temperature sensor, not it. Took it to the nissan dealership...

the problem is fuel related and nowhere else
it indicates a vacuum leak , either at the manifold , brake booster , transmission actuator hose/unit for the transmission or hoses that control under that dash
bad at stopping at light indicates that it is the brake booster
simple test is to put the hand brake on, start the engine and if it idles ok , put your foot on the brake
if still ok move vent controls ,
if with the foot on the brake it plays up , replace the brake booster

The best thing to do is go to Auto Zone and get your Hyundai scanned for a DTC code. That would tell us which O2 sensor has gone bad. You have three O2 sensors and one of them has gone bad, the O2 sensor sends signals to the ecm to control the air fuel mixture so it will not run to rich or to lean which is causing you to fail the state inspection. Good luck and keep me posted on what the DTC codes are, be glad to help.

1998 Chevy s10 4 cylinder running rough

One thing to check is the fuel pressure regulator.
If the diaphram is leaking it will cause gas to be pulled into the vacuum system causing lots of white smoke and extreme rough running.
