You probably have a lamp that is burned out ... when you have only one turn signal light, it reduces the load on the flasher by 50% causing the bi-metal strip to heat at twice the rate as with two lamps.

Check it out ...

The driver rear blinker is very rapid the driver front blinker doesn't blink, the turn signal in the car is very rapid and we have changed the front bulb can you help

you will need to inspect all of the left side blinker bulbs one of the bulbs that is supposed to blink is bad my buddy has a caviler that had the same problem one of the bulbs ended up being bad it was the rear drivers side bulb. there is also a flasher relay locater under the dash that tends to go bad just listen for the ticking and replace the flasher the flasher costs about 8 bucks at you autopart store ask for a flasher relay. i hope this helps.

.. Hi there.
This is a typical earth problem. Some of the lights use the same earth and when some of the earth points are not good, the power go through the other lights. That is why some lights go's faster, it's all about resistants. Check all the earth points in the light holders and under the dash and also between the battery, engine and body. Good luck.

2005 f150 4x4 ,When I turn the right blinker on,it starts blinking rapidly(like the flasher)the rear turn signal & brake light does not work. Thanks

Start with checking your tail light bulb if the front one is working. If it isnt the rear bulb its the flasher itself.

Check all the bulbs to make sure they are working. Usually when a turn signal stays on solid or blinks fast it means that a bulb has blown. Its the cars way of telling you that a bulb is bad. If they are all good then it will probably be a flasher relay that has gone bad.

'05 Dodge Caravan 33kmi. right blinker has failed. It makes a rapid blinking sound but only rapidly blinks in the front not the back. Can I replace the flasher or is it a job for a mechanic? Thanks, A. Tahl...

Rapid blinking is usually caused by a failed bulb. The rear light not blinking should be a good place to start looking. Replace the rear bulb and both should be back to normal.

Rear flasher not working front flasher flashing rapidly

with the blinker on hold the socket in your hand and wiggle on the bulb and see if it starts to blink. if so then you have a bad socket that needs replaced or sometimes can be cleaned and apply electrical grease. if you cant get the bulb to blink then get in vehicle and watch the signl indacator while putting pressure on the selector in which ever direction your having problems with. if you get it to work properly by doing this then you will need a new switch .
