Question about 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee

The jeep will start but wants to die. It will run fine if its over 25mpgs other wise it wants to die. We have cked all the wiring, replace computer, fuel filter and pump, all the sensors. To many to even think without the list in front of me.

You may need a shop to check the cam sensor wiring. Likely has 3 wires to it, a reference voltage (probably a 5 volt signal) on one wire, then a ground wire for the sensor, and then a signal wire to the computer. A scan tool that reads live data streaming might be used to check the cam sensors output signal to the computer. The cam sensor is used to synchronize fuel injector pulses with the valve train.

Rough running


Computers aren't ALWAYS correct. If a code wasn't cleared after the original problem, it will read the same codes off to the diagnostic. I would remove the wire connector to each injector while it's running. If one of them makes no difference THAT is your culprit. Let me know please!

you need to change module inside your distributor. When they get hot they quit.

Jeep keeps blowing auto shutdown fuse


Yes I had the same problem. The wires that plug into the sensor at the catatytic converter were rubbing against the drive shaft untill they finally wore through causing the short against drive shaft. repaired wires and it fixed everything
