Double check because I believe the refrigerant switch off took place in the early 90's and freon was discontinued in automotive applications. Specified amount should be on tag in engine compartment...

I'd get your brakes checked out. Check for abs trouble codes. I know some of the national brand auto stores will check po codes for free, not sure about abs codes?

That sounds dangerous to me, get it checked out. Till you get it fixed, set your parking brake when you stop, that should help.

Have an intermitant miss in my 98 v8 manual 4x4 dakota, i have changed all ignition components except the pick up and it still comes bck. Any suggestions


The pickup can cause that if the advancement plate is allowing the pickup to touch reluctor or there is shavings stuck to the pickup that is shorting the air gap out.

It could just be your oil filter.
But most likely a weak pump, or a clogged pickup screen in the oil pan
