I think on the 1999 V6 the firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2. Stand with the engine pulleys and belts nearest to you. The cylinders are number as Odd and Even. The LEFT side is the EVEN numbers, (2-4-6). Number Two is nearest to you and Number 6 is furthest away from you. The RIGHT side is the ODD numbers, (1-3-5). Number One is nearest to you and number Five is furthest away from you.

Are you sure you have the firing order correct? Pull the cap and follow the traces I know #1 and 4 are on the opposite of what it looks like on the outside of the cap there may be others the same way
