My brother kept working on the seat belts, pushing them back into the molding to get them to untwist. It took about ten minutes.

Ask to have a record for recalls on your car recalls are repairs
than dealer have to get done to cars free of charge

the way the recalls are set by goverment agencies is by complaints from customers to the higway safety administration
or also to the customer afair i thing so
when they receive too many complaints with same problems then they will force the dealer to fix many cars free of charge,
i hope and this help
but make sure to ask the dealer for recalls of your car. and ask for a print out.

Driver seat belt (2011 used Malibu) twisted between floor and buckle? Is there a way to get it untwisted? Is it the dealers responsibility to take care of it? Is it dangerous to drive that way?

Yes, it is dangerous.
What you have to do is release the catch mechanism and unwind the belt, This is not considered a dealer responsibility, however, they certainly can fix it.

Seat belt is locked it wont go back in or out

Sometimes the belt is retracted with a twist in the fabric which will jam the roller inside the retractor assembly. It is necessary to pull hard on the belt to get this twist to pass out far enough to be untwisted. If unable to do so, then replace the retractor assembly as a unit. Good luck!

My drivers side seat belt is not retracting on my 2005 hyundai elantra

Most of the time this happens because the belt gets twisted behind the B pillar trim panel. The lower portion of the panel that the belt goes behind can be removed enough to see behind it by gently pulling outward, it is held in place with plastic clips. If the belt is twisted up in there, untwist it and snap the panel back in place.

Twisted passenger seat belt front seat

Try untwisting by turning the mount around, if it twists more then turn the other way. failing that undo the 17mm bolt that holds the belt to the car and untwist and reattach.
