If the light is on there is a fault in the airbag system and the control module has turned the airbag system off until the system is repaired, there are about a 2 dozen problems that cause the light

Why would airbag light go on

The airbag system on many cars is supposed to have a "test" feature.
This means the light will come on temporarily every time you start the car, as a "computer-start-up feature".
You would have a problem is it stays on.

My security light stays on 24/7 thus my battery is drained every day on my 02 avalanche. My air bag blew by itself last year. Im Guessing it has something to do with that. Also my gas gauge and stereo quit...

If your 02 Avalanche had an airbag blast last year, I would run it back to the dealer and see, if there is any way possible, whether it is one of the potentially faulty airbags made by Takata. General Motors installed some Takata airbags in some of their vehicles and since this goes back as far as 10 or more years ago, it is possible that you may have had one of the early versions of the airbag installed originally. If that is the case and since the airbag is not supposed to blow up by itself, I would suspect that any issues that arose from the blast should also be covered by the warranty work. It is not unreasonable to ask the factory to replace the parts destroyed by a device that is supposed to stay put until the bumper is hit with sufficient force to cause it to deploy.

Get my kangoo airbag light to go off before starting the car

That could be the sign of an issue with the airbag. Check your user manual to see what this means or if not listed take your car to the deal or good mechanic

My air bag light stays on on my 2004 sonata, this just started recently. Never have been in an accident. what or how can i turn it off. No air bags were deployed.

THE PROBLEM IS YOUR AIRBAG MODULE (computer) it is pretty expensive to fix since it needs to be replaced. Around $500 prolly more unless you know someone. Airbags won't go off randomly. But they prolly won't work when they are supposed to.

I have a 2007 dodge caliber and the airbag lights on the dash stay on all the time. how do i fix that?

You will have to check the fuse. It could either not be in all the way or be bad. It could also be a part called the clock spring. I would start with checking the fuses first. You aren't refering to the passenger airbag light i suppose right? If so, that has a weight sensor for under 80 lbs, if you have something in the seat it can trigger the light. If you are referring to the driver airbag then try the mentioned solutions. thanks

1999 Chevy Venture airbag light stays lit

You need to replace the airbag clockspring. It is located inside the steering column and is fairly easy to do for the home mechanic. Be sure to disable the air bag system!! You can find this part that any parts store, for about $100.

Constant light on dashboard

My '01 TDI had the same issue and apparently it was a switch gone bad behind the horn and airbag. . . so no idea if the airbag would have worked had I been in an accident. Definately worth going to VW and having it looked at though. Better safe than sorry.
