My check engine light stays lite. The fan belt has just been changed and the fuel shutoff selonide was replaced. Possibly was the selonide the wrong part. Does it have to be a Meccedes part. Thank you,

No, there is no fault for solenoid. You probably have an unrelated fault.

Please see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5932051-check_engine_light_check. These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

I have 2006 Honda Accord se, engine lite started flashing then permantly on bout 1 1/2 moths. Now won't start but belt still goes round, what could it be?

You drove with a flashing check engine light and then with it on solid. Flashing check engine light means STOP DRIVING and get it fixed. So this sounds like an abused and neglected car to me. Get the trouble codes read that are stored in the computer. Check for good fuel pressure and spark. Fix one or both.

Help with lumina problem

If that's the problem, check with timing light, check the tension and teeth on the belt and pulleys, see if the pulley marks line up, change out the belt, replace harmonic and pulley if necessary....

My engine lite stays on, codes P0526 and P0106 are coming up..we replaced the fan clutch but the lite stays on..what else could be wrong with these codes

You don't say if the codes are same after fan clutch replacement, if you still get the P0526, you may have a bad clutch or a defective wire harness.
For the P0106, this is indicating a problem in the MAP sensor area. In order to check the MAP sensor you need a highend scan tool. But before changing anything, do a thorough cleaning of the throttle body first, make sure to clean the front and rear sides. Also disconnect the battery while doing the cleaning, this will reset the computer to factory defaults and allow it to relearn to the cleaned throttle body.

2005 rendezvous. Changed serpenntine belt and replaced leaking front seal when took it down off the jacks it will not start. Turns over but acts like fuel has been shut off. Is this an anti theft or fuel...

Sounds like maybe you knocked the Crank Sensor loose, or possibly the injector plug harness up top near the alternator. Check all of your wiring really good in the vacinity that you were working in and around. If your anti theft light isnt flashing you in the face with the key on and engine off it isnt a fuel or theft issue. The anti theft system disables the fuel to the injectors, if you raised the car too high it can trigger the anti theft and it must be reset, but unlikely. Check all of your connections.

Check engine light,'99 beetle

Have you had your brake light sensor replace. They have a recall on it. Change out your drive belt and it should make the noise go away. As long as it's cooling(a/c) i would not change compressor.

Sputtering, Missing, Or maybe not getting fuel.

If you have already done a tune-up changed the wires, plugs the only other thing i can think of would be the fuel pump. If you have a check engine light on along with the other lights your local advance auto parts would check this at no charge. That may give you a clear view of what is wrong. Hope this helps.

My mitsubishi 3000gt 1991 starts then it turns of in 20 sec

There are so many things that could cause this, my answer is a guess without being able to see the car. Is your check engine light on? If yes, get someone to analyze the trouble codes and go from there. Check your fuel pump pressure. Check for restricted fuel lines, dents, kinks, etc. Could be a bad ignition module that dies as soon as soon as it gets a bit warm. Check for spark. Use a noid light to check injector pulse. Possibly computer. The capacitors leak and erode the circuit board. (AvPro in Florida is excellent at rebuilding them.) Hope this helps.

Battery lite stays on when engine is running

If you have checked the battery, alternater, fuses and relays, it could be a faulty earth. Alternater may be faulty, there is a very good chance your fan belt may need tightening, your fan belt should not be too slack as if it was slack, it would not charge the battery properly and thus cause the battery light to stay on, if you push down on the belt it should move a little, but hardly much, if it is slack you may also get a squeal especially in wet weather, I would reccomend that you replace the fan belt. This is not expensive especially if you do the job yourself.
