Yes, you need to use it every month or so to keep the seals soft. It's probably leaking and low on R-134a.

Please see my tip at . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

1991 corvette compressor not running. All pressure switches good and not low on freon. Runs when 12 volts is applied.

Just bought my vette last Sept. had a similar problem. the AC would work for a while and then shut off. ad a loose plug connecter at the compresser. tried to get a new plug but it is a part of the wireing harness. got a couple of spade clips. cut off the old plug and connected it with the spade clips. end of problem hope this helps. I am not a mechanic just a "tinkerer"

The air is blowing cool one the passenger side but warm on the driver's side. Also, the car horn blows periodically by itself.

Well the horn relay is most likely the problem with the horn, and try adding some freon ,this should solve the problem with the ac,if this was at all helpful, please rate thank you.

1998 toyota sienna ac turn on but turn off after a couple light blinks

It is trying to tell you there is a problem with the ac system,it is most likely low on freon, but be sure to check to see if the electric fan on the radiator is coming on with the ac being turned on,if it is,have the freon level checked,if this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

Air cond dash light works, compressor doesn't go on.

AC's have a low freon switch that shuts off the system to protect the compressor in the advent that you have a freon leak have the system checked for a leak

Ac clutch

sounds like the system is either low or out of refrigerant. There is a low pressure switch in the system to shut it down in the event of freon loss. First , verify , then test for a freon leak. Once repaired, and recharged, will blow cold air again.
