On the front wheel drive units they are in the side pan and on the rear drive there in the bottom pan if you have the new one to look at they are in plain sight with the cover off. Just follow the wires from the plug on the outside of the trans and they go straight to it.

Go here - www.jeepforum.com/forum/f11/tech-faq-links-tsbs-89273/ - and find the AW-4 Service and Diagnostic Manual. Looks like you need to test some solenoids.

Where can I find the location of the bolts on the torque convertor on a 89 Toyota 4 door

the bottom of your transmission at the front should have a dust cover. remove it, and you should be able to see the tork converter bolts. if it doesn't have a dust cover, the only way to see them, is to loosen the transmission, and slide it back about 2 inches. either way,, don't wear your best suit.lol

First time check the wires and connection plug & socket of TCC solenoid. If everything will be OK then replace TCC solenoid.

My check engine light was on and the transmission acts like it doesnt wanna shift. i had it scaned to see what codes it was throwin and they said that it was the transmission torque converter stuck on.. Am...

You will need to take it to a shop to have your torque convertor solenoid and circuit checked. The torque convertor solenoid has a ball ans seat in it and the ball gets stuck at times and lets your convertor stay engaged. the solenoid shouldn't be more than 50.00 and about 2-3 hrs labor cost, plus top off trans mission fluid.

Transmission Lock Solenoid

i'm assuming your meaning the torque convertor lock solenoid... for that you'd have to seperate the motor from tranny and locate it on your stock toque convertor... or may need the whole convertor..
