try to put WD 40 in the key hole. If you have a key- less button on your key ring and the battery is dead on that one and you have a spare you can use your cell phone to call someone with spare and hold the phone next to the car and have them push unlock and it will unlock it. this might sound strange but it does work. if you don't have a key-less button then use a slim jim. you have to come in from the rear of the just have to feel the handle to make sure you are getting close to the lock.

SOURCE: locked out of 96 chevy cavalier

You can use a wire hanger with a hook bent onto the end fairly easily if you slide it down the window and try to feel around to hook onto the lock mechanism. It may take a bit of patience, but I got into my 2000 with not too much trouble. Then do what I did immediately afterwards - get another key cut to keep in your wallet...

Locked out of my car! Keys (main & spare) won't unlock the doors.

i had same problem with a mitsubishi fto , tried the coat hanger thing got the passengers door unlocked but it still wouldnt open, rang the automobile association, he came along and did the same as i did to passengers door , to the drivers door and presto he was in,so maybe the drivers door has the master control, or ring a dealer for that make and model they might be able to put you on the right path.

I have an 1992 Chevy Caprice Bubble and somebody tried to break in to it so i cant use the key is there another way to get in to it..??

  • Did they try to break into every door? If they screwed up every lock your gonna have to Slim Jim it. There is always breaking the window out but just Slim Jim it. Can use a coat hanger with a tiny hook at the end bent into it as well. Take and wedge the window seal so you can see down there and take the Slim Jim and grab that latch. Not to hard really.

My transit pickup will notopen with my fob key the battery connection may be loose but i cant get in to see

you need to get the door open with a slim-jim or a coat hanger.if you don't have a slim-jim.take a piece of wedged wood between the door and body to make a gap to slide the hanger in.insert the hanger around the mirror should be able to reach the lock switch.

How can i slim jim the door? (locked my keys

with out the right tools it will be verry hard also you can break your glass or knock a lock rod off.

THE best way to do this is if you have power locks find somthing you can use as a wedge EXAMPLE;screw the wedge between the dood and the car you may have to pry it open a little. now get a coat hanger and push the power lock button.

I locked my key in car. I do not have a spare key. How can I get in Thanks

your going to have to use a coat hanger, use somthing to wedge the door open a little then snake hanger in to try and hit power lock button or push the unlock lever, you will have to bend hanger to right angle. or you could call AAA they will send someone but it would cost you if you dont have AAA, good luck hope this helps.

Keys locked

A coat hanger stretched out fully, you need a flat head screw driver and a rag, place the rag around the flat head screw driver then use it to pry a very small amount on the top of the door, when you pry enough to get the thin coat hanger through, use the hanger to press the unlock button on the inside door.

Keys locked in car

Your message is already old so you surely have gotten into your car by now but for future problems, I'll post this anyhow.
Coat hangers may work but if you can find a friendly cop, they often carry 'slim-jims' which is a thin, flat, flexible piece of steel that slides easily past the gasket and has a hook-like opening on one end to catch the mechanism.
