Starter spins but does not crank engine, could this be starter solenoid?


That wil be the torque amplifiyer or sometimes called wheel reducer.... Just change the starter motor NOT WORTH PLAYING ABOUT WITH O.K.?

Shifting problem


Check the vac lines to the trans, inspect for loose or damaged hoses. also for leaks at the manifold where lines start.
