Do you need to remove the l/h side motor mount to replace serpentine belt on a 2001 park avenue?

No it is not necessary to remove the motor mount on either the standard 3.8L or the super charged engine. Just remove the tension on the tensioner and remove the belt or belts, both will come off without removing the motor mount.

Replacing serpentine accessory belt. Is it necessary to remove motor mounting brace to remove and install new serpentine belt?

From my understanding I think you have to remove the motor mount and mount the engine to remove it because I have been asking different mechanics about the serpintine belt on my 1998 Buick Lasabre.

I have a audi i cant put the surpentine belt back in

Click on the following Direct Link. I know you said Serpentine (correct spelling) Belt and this Link has Timing Belt; however this does have the Serpentine Belt Diagram and also some key instructions to putting it back-on. After going to the Link, scroll down the page (to about half-way down the page) to Diagrams: G00039904, then G50H16367, then G50J16369.
In Diagram G00039904: it has the "Hinged Mounting Bracket" which has the Pulley holding tension on the belt keeping it tight. This must be loosened (NOT REMOVED) in order to get a serpentine belt back on. Then re-tightened in order to have the correct amount of tension.
In Diagram G50J16369: this Hinged Mounting Bracket has Mounting Bolts which again must be loosened (NOT REMOVED) in order for the hinge mounting bracket to move - loosening the Pulley = loosening the Serpentine Belt.
There are a couple of additonal Diagrams regarding the Electric Fan Mounting Bolts etc., that are useful for your reinstallation.

Let me know if this helped, or if you have additional information or questions. Feel Free to contact me at FixYa.com!

Change alternator belt on 1996 buick riviera

The 96 Riviera has a motor mount that interferes with the removal and replacement of the serpentine belt. The motor mount must be loosened and the engine need to be lifted slightly to accomplish the replacement. Not good engineering on this model year.

Serpentine belt

You actally have to take the Motor Mount off. The way I did it was to remove the Front Right Wheel and the Plastic Guard. There you will see the Motor Mount and the Bolt that needs to be removed. Once removed, the melt piece betwee the bracket and engine pops out. Then you can replace the belt and put everything back together.
