Question about 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Sport
I had the same thing happen to me about a half year ago with my 2002 Montero Sport. With this, there were seals that had gone out. I payed a pretty penny to get them done, but it did the trick. Probably not a cracked head.

If it continues to do this while you drive, it is a sign of water/coolant in the exhaust due to a cracked head, block or most likely headgasket going out. Deal with this immediately before you need a whole new motor...
