Question about 2006 Nissan Armada

1 Answer

My Nissan Armada 06 is juddering/almost stalling/jumping and feels low on power especially in the mid range. I have to put the accelerator down quite far to get a response from the engine when going around 50mph. The symptoms are not very severe but it is noticeable when driving. I am not sure what the issue is and want to make sure driving it will not damage the car. This problem has coincided with me very neatly running out of fuel the other day. Also when I added fuel the fuel gauge took a long time to raise to the full position. I have read that this could be to do with the fuel filter which would make sense as I ran the car nearly dry and all the gunk in the tank would have clogged up the filter. Any thoughts?

Trust your feelings on this one! Replace it as the intermittent fuel is not good for your motor or your safety. Worst case senario is that you did some dammage to the fuel pump in the tank by running dry...

By different do you mean size wise or just tread wise . Is it an AWD vehicle or 4wd vehicle with you driving in 4wd . A bit more info would be helpful.

I have a 2000 Nissan Sentra GXE. The engine has a judder on acceleration. Most noticeable between 2 and 3k rpms. It does it on hard throttle at speed also.I have no check engine light on and have replaced...

Try replacing the IAC ( idle air control). They can cause the hesitations and can also cause the vehicles ilde to jump up and down. Also check for any loose vaccuum lines.

Nissa pickup wont idle at all

Here are the most common causes of surges, stalls at stops, low erratic idle speed and stall, rough idle and engine hesitation, it is in most cases the idle speed control air-bypass valve and or throttle valve and upper intake, these area's get full of gunk and combustion residue over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.

2004 nissan armada low idle then won't start

I had the smae problem with mine last week, it turned out to be the IPDM Independent power distribution moduel, looks like a big fuse box. I would take it to a side mechanic and have them fix it instead of going to the dealer it took like 45 mins to take the old one out and put the new one in. If you go to the dealer they are sure to charge something crazy. Hope that works for you.
