A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

SOURCE: Focus timing belt replacement.

This is a very very easy timing belt setup. first off you have to remove the valve cover. Then you have to remove the serp belt. Then remove anything thats in your way of the front cover. after you remove the crank pulley re-install the crank bolt. DO NOT LOSEN THE BOLT FOR THE TENSIONER!!!! now spin the crankshaft until the sproket aligns with the timing mark. now at this point the two camshafts should be aligned. now there is a special tool from ford that holds the cam shafts in place. all it is is a 1/4" peice of metal that goes on the left side of the cam shafts to hold them into place. if you mark the cams you wont need the tool. or if you can find something to fit in the left side of the cams that will work too. anyways after that its just the same steps in reverse. very easy to do.

SOURCE: i need to know the timing marks on a 2002 ford

If it has a coil pack, and I believe that one does, it si not going to have timing marks. There is no place for you to adjust the timing from. It is all computer controlled.

SOURCE: i am trying to set

piston no1 at TDC ,mark on flywheel through a little hole ,or drop a thin screwdriver onto piston with plug out then with rocker cover off the slots at the back of the cam need to be horizontal the cylinder head ,,what i use here is an old file with no handle its just the right thickness ,making sure the cam lobes on no1 are up then i bring the pistons up to tdc ,make sure the crank doesnt move when tighteneing adjuster ,also the front pulley is on a taper so make sure its done up to about 120lbs .again here a special tool is needed to lock the crank on the ringear ,or what i do is is to slacken cam caps so cam is free of valves then remove the plate at the bottom of the bellhousing and jam a big screwdriver into ring gear and then either my self or assistant holds screwdriver in place andf the other applies the torque to the pulley bolt .If not enough pressure is put on pulley bolt then it can slip whilst going down motorway at speed ,This mistake cost me one piston and 6 valves all down to me so be warned also when finished fitting cam belt turn engine over with rachet 360? to ensure it all clears before you try the starter
