Most likely the switch in the steering wheel has broken. You will need a steering wheel puller to get the wheel off and possibly another special tool to get to the horn switch.

It may be worth your time to check the relay in the engine compartment relay box before tearing into the steering column. Read my notes at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6022358-relay_check on interrogating the relay socket. You may be able to verify that the switch is bad, or you may get lucky and find it's just a jammed relay.

If you need instructions, please reply with model and yearof vehicle.

This is termed a ***** car <<sorry, could not resist. Look for damaged wiring, look at steering wheel area, a quick test would be to unplug wires going into steering column, put fuse back in and test.

You did not specify year or model, but many horn setups GROUND to activate, so any where along the wire that gets worn and grounded will activate the horn.

Horn blowing, pulled fuse. vehicle is equipped with remote start and locks.

Remove the entire remote start system. I won't install them. But I have removed hundreds of them. Good ones only last about 7 years. Junk ones, 2 years at best.

Bought a 1992 acura vigor and found horn fuse missing. when I replaced the fuse alarm goes off and constantly sounds. how do I stop it? I've read that there's a relay somewhere under the hood

horn relay located on the right side kick panel, you will see a row of relays,if horn relay is okay, more likely your horn control pad has a short inside causing horn button contacts to stick causing horn to keep blowing.

My horn will not stop blowing what do i need to do

find your owners manual in the glove box. read it. there will be two fuse & relay panels along with legends as to what is what in each panel. and/or the legend will be inside the panel cover. find the relay for horn, and go pull it. the horn will no longer work. as a lark go get a new relay at any parts store and stick it in. if the horn works properly you have serendipitously fixed it, if it just starts blowing constantly again leave the relay out and go buy a horn switch. the switch is inside the steering wheel cosmetic cover and you need some tools and aptitude to replace it so a paid mechanic will be in order.

My horn isn't working quite right. It only blows if you push the button in a certain place and that certain place moves around all the time. But even when it does blow, it stutters. I don't think...

if it was a fuse problem the horn wouldn`t make a noise.it sounds like the horn contacts that touch when you push on the button are not making proper contact each time.if you remove the horn button and look at the contact spots you may see the problem(uneven contact surfaces).if you move/bend the contact surfaces closer to each other of straighten this may help the problem.you may even have a horn that needs to be replaced as you said when it does work it stutters and not blow.the diaphragm in the horn can dry out and not vibrate like it should.try tapping on the horn when someone tries to blow the horn if it stops or gets louder then the diaphragm is no good.you could also check the connection at the horn itself it may have a bad connection due to corrosion and just need cleaning.

My car horn is stuck on (very loud) and I removed the fuse for the horn, but now my radio or interior lights dont work. What do i do?

Hello,

was the radio and interior light working before you removed the fuse for the horn? In the process of removing the fuse for the horn, you must have mistakenly tempered with the fuse for the radio and interior light.

So I would suggest you go back to the fuse box and deep them in properly because the interior and radio fuse might not be contacting properly.

I hope this makes sense to you.

Good luck.

Constant horn blowing

Very possibly the horn relay. This is located in the left junction block ( fuse panel) on the left side of dash. Open driver door and you will see a panel cover on the end of dash. On the cover it should list the position of the relay which I believe is on the right of fuse panel. If you try the horn and it sticks on again, try tapping the relay, if stops then that is the problem.
