Well Debby if you are going to drive convertibles then you are going to get wet, period. Come to grips with that and live in the real world. The best you can do is replace the roof material every three years and never park it out in the sun, snow, or wind. If no one has replaced the spark plugs and plug wires in 11 years it is past time to do this and that would be cheap sensible first step in correcting the engine misses when raining syndrome.
