Question about 2000 Ford Focus
I,ve got a 2000 1.6 zetec focus i had problems with the fans keep cuting in i checked the coolant and noticed bottom hose was not getting hot so i changed thermostat this did'nt cure it so i changed cylinder head temperture sensor still no luck so i changed water pump still no luck . ive noticed that the hoses will get hot one day then the next day bottom hose stone cold u would think there is an air lock but i have had this checked out by a machnic just concerned y both fans keep cutting in as much as they do .do u no of any other sensors as i think it could be electrical i have had car plugged into a diagnose machine but not bringing up any fault codes
Ok fans on vehicles is air injected when a vehicle reaches certain wind velosity the fan will shut off cause the outside air is keeping the engine cool simple fix around this
goto checker buy a toggle switch powered for on with key
find the power wire to fan with test light and hook up to toggle switch
this keeps the fan on permanently by passing the wind velosity sensor
now if you dont want to do this the other alternative is the dealership replacement in this issue and that can be expensive
this is the quick simple fix
