Are you certain it is rain water? It could be condensation from the A/C coil that fails to drain out of the drain pan, or possibly coolant from a leaking heater core. If you are certain it is rain water, depending upon the age of the vehicle, and possibly some other things, here are the possible options:
Leaking door gasket.
Leaking windshield seal due to rust
Leaking windshield seal due to improper installation
Leaking windshield seal due to acoustic (sound) over pressure (if you have extreme sound system with heavy bass)
If you have a sunroof, if the drain hose comes down the passenger side door column, it could be leaking into the passenger compartment rather than drain through the floor pan.
Common problem on cayenne
Release hand brake, then lift pedal with your foot, this will stop beeping
The problem is the pedal has a return strut which needs replacing
Its like a minature hatchback strut
hello there
the drain plugs should be under your carpets 1cm round, the cause could be that your water drain hoses are plug-up.It is part of the drain from sunroof.
I have been hearing and experiencing some sort of reservoir of water swishing around in the passenger side of my 2004 Cayenne. The carpet is soggy and there is evidence of moisture intrusion when I open the doors. There is a film of moisture on around the lower door jams. Of course Porsche is nowhere to be found in this discussion. My beautiful car is now a camel and I can not findc a descent explanation anywhere. Your post is the closest thing I can find. And did the "garage" charge you to extract the five buckets of water? The folks at Porcsche have no idea and no one else has "had" the problem. WTF?
Your air conditioner water drain holes are blocked. Check the exit holes for water from the evaporator unit under the foot wells or dash unit. Through these holesor unblock these and the water will flow through to the outside
