Ford escort cutting out itermitingly

Hi my doughters ford escort has started cutting out for no aparent reason some times it runs just great then suddenly it cuts out at junktions or when driveing away from stationary when she revs it then when the revs come down it is like its gonna stall any suggestions please

Mine has been doing this too and I discovered that my Fuel Regulator was going bad. Replaced it and now its fine!

1999 ford escort i have a fuel pressure problem no pressure car off at fuel rail low pressure ignition on car misses when excelerating
your fuel pump only runs for 2 seconds with the key on, unless it is running. Safety reasons. It runs during starting all the time, and all the time if engine is running.
check fuel pump relay in driver kick panel and inertia switch reset in trunk. Se owner manual for info.
