Steering wheel has to come off and airbag disconnected (by a qualified tech or it can blow open in your face) speacial tool needed for steering column clip removal and install, should I go on?

1) Disconnect and isolate Negative (Ground) battery terminal
2) Wait full 2mins for Airbag system capacitors to discharge (must disable airbag before working near steering column)
3) Insert key and turn to ON position (not start)
4) Release & remove cylinder barrel by pressing the release with a suitable tool (access through hole in the lower shroud)
5) Withdraw cylinder barrel from shroud and disconnect wiring loom from cylinder.
Installation of new barrel is the reverse of above.
NB: YOU MUST ALWAYS DISABLE THE AIRBAG FIRST !
Hope this helps...
