Question about 1999 Ford Taurus
I have a '99 Taurus wagon with a 3.0 L 24 valve DOHC Duratech V-6 engine. The car has 73K miles and usually runs fine. Over the last couple of days the engine has been dying at stop signs. After restarting, the idle drops steadily to about 800 RPM and the engine dies. I replaced the air filter and am wondering if the Idle Control needs to be replaced? Last tune up was at 65K.
I had a similar problem. and all it was was my idel need reset. try resetting your idel. if you have your mannual still the insructions are in it. if not get back to me and i will give them to you.

If there is no check engine light on I would go the local auto parts
store and check out the TP sensore first and then the Mass air flow...
