Question about 1989 Suzuki Samurai
I have never had a problem until now. it worked great one day then the next morning it turns over but will not fire. It is getting plenty of fuel into the carb. the wire at the coil gives off a good spark but not at the distributor cap. i have also changed the cap and rotor thy were black and seemed wore. What am i overlooking.
If you are still looking for a solution to this. I had the same problem. I got some new keys made and the dash lights did not come on when I turned the key, but the engine turned over but did not start. I used the other new kay and it didn't work as well. I tried the original key that I used to get the new keys made and it did the same thing. I used my other OLD key and the lights came on and started immediately. I got new keys made using the key I usually used and all 3 keys worked. One of my OLD keys was worn too much and I used it to get new keys that didn't work either. Hope this helps. Check your keys.

Does you ignition system have an external ballast resistor? This could possibly be your problem if the system is so equipped.
