You need a new tranny, fixing yours at any shop will cost you more than if you replacethe whole transmission with a used one but in good working condition, if you take my second advice don't forget to change the fluid. Good luck!

Reverse wont work on an incline and barely work on level ground?

Misty, if automatic check the transmission fluid level and top up if necessary. Take into a good shop for diagnoses(codes) and estimate on repair if needed. Could be transmission valve body or other internal problem causing pressure loss, maybe solenoid issue.
Check the attached links, instruction and guides, Good luck

My fz transmission in my 1988 ford f450 made a popping sound and lockd up killing the engine...what caused this to happen..

On your type of transmission the top where the gear shifter sit at is where the solution is will have to pull the rug back take out the gear selector housing once its out, the reverse relector is held by a 3/4 to 11/16 reverse nut it came loose, that relator has interfered with the gears when this happens it basically just goes in reverse

I have 1996 vw jetta 2.0 and my reverse keep slipping out and will not stay in reverse..would I have to replace my whole transmission? by the way its stick shift

usually a sign that that gear set is starting to go out or has already, standard transmissions CAN be rebuilt, but it's usually easier to have a used working one put in place instead. good luck to you. does it pop out of gear?

Transmission fault code "reverse solenoid fault" keeps me stuck in limp mode (stuck in third gear)keeps popping up! WHAT can cause this code to keep me in third gear???!!!! im a stay at home dad with 2...

The automatic transmissions of today's cars are electonically controlled by the ECM, when a problem arises the transmission will send a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) to your ECM. You will need to take your car to a mechanic to test and replace the Reverse Solenoid in your transmission, the pan will have to be pulled off to do that.

Reverse gear fiat x1/9 doesn't go in ?

These gearboxes were notorious for failing the reverse gear. The reverse gear wears out easily and keeps popping out. You can try shifting the gearbox into 3rd gear before going into reverse. This helps align the syncros in the tranny. Of course make sure you are not moving or if you are have the clutch depressed when shifting. You can also try for parts. They may be able to help you.
