Water in the fuel system how to remove it

Jerry, Drive to a good shop. So many things can cause reduced power light unfortunately. The first step would be to get the truck hooked up to a scanner/computer and have the computer scanned for trouble codes. One thing that you could try is to drain the water from the water separator that is mounted on the frame under drivers front door. If the PCM picks up on water, power is reduced until water is removed/drained. It could be an exhaust sensor that is reading faulty. Unfortunately from here its impossible to tell you exactly what the fault is because there are just so many engine sensor inputs that could cause your problem. absolutely no idea especially as colour codes can change with the loom supplier in manufacturer ,use a automotive multi meter to test the wires then you will know straight away

Fuse 17 10amp protects the following 1)transmission control switch and lamp. 2)brake fluid level switch 3)warning chime 4)diesel warning lamps display 5)fuel water switch 6) low vacuum warning switch 7)instrument cluster 8) switch lamps,,,,,,,,,,,,,, i think your problem on transmission control switch, check also brake light and brake switch

in the tank. you also have two fuel filters. one on the frame rail under the driver the other on the top of the motor. if your having fuel problems an havnt changed the one on the frame rail try that first. if you still have a probem its ussualy easier to remove the bed than drop the tank

fuel system upgrades. they are easily found online. Banks or Bully Dog programmer chips are also a good bet.

There are 2 fuel filters. One on the engine to the right of the oil filter. The other one is on the left frame rail . I hope this helps
