The Spring Goes Toward The Engine. This way the engine can heat-up and the thermostat then opens and allows flow to the radiator. If you look closely you should see on the rim, telling you which way it goes anyway.

Happymotoring, Don't forget to check your hoses, and new coolant.

Good Evening, on your thermostat the spring goes towards the motor which is away from the hose. Hope this helps.

The spring goes toward the engine. The spring is suppose to fit either in a recess in the Intake manifold or the thermostat can lock into the housing neck with a twist. The spring still is on the engine side, not the Radiator side.

Get your proper Thermostat. There are controls on your truck engine which work off of the Temperature. You will get poor mileage and your engine may not idle down with a colder thermostat.

Top right hand side of the motor, follow top rad hose into manifold and loosen two bolts to remove the therm. Note which way it comes out so you replace it correctly. Good luck

Can't find PCV Valve on '93 Olds Cutlass

i didnt think they used that engine in that car unless it is out side the U.S. well anyway on the side of the dome shape intake manifold(shoul be side closest to belts) there is either a sensor with a 3 wire plug going to it(map sensor) or just a vacuum hose whichever one it is--remove it and youl see a round removable lid of sorts. take the lid off and the pcv valve is down inside that cavity.

the procedure to remove them is here As for the seal you should be able to pry the old one out once you have removed the half shaft with a screwdriver or ask at your local parts store if they can rent/sell you a seal removal tool
