Good Evening, you know the old saying if I had a dollar for every time that happened. I have people at work that take the cars to the car wash and clean the engines and what happens is they get the plugs and wires wet and then they have to pull off the wires from the coils and the plugs and dry them all off. Also be sure to check your vacuum on the top of your intake where the throttle body is and make sure it didnt come undone. Hope this helps.
Well thank you, I am always glad to hear I have helped and hopefully saved you some headaches and money in the process. If it is idling high I would say to look for vacuum, the v6 has some issues with fuel injectors. But I would look over the vacuum like the one on top of the intake, the vacuum line to the map sensor etc. A little oil is not always good but not necessarily bad enough to make something run awkward. Has you check engine light come on yet? If you have the flashing check engine light you are looking at a cylinder misfire. If it is on get it to autozone or advance where they check your codes for you for free and let me know, and we will go from there.
I looked at all the vacuum lines that I can see and everything seems to be fine. I did have a check engine light but after the tune up I have not had one. I failed to mention that it really doesn't run horrible just loops a little and high idle, but I didn't tell you that it got really loud and I do smell some exhaust. Doesn't seem to be loose from the front back, but I had a Cadillac that was loose at the engine at it ran loud and kind of bad until I had it fixed. Do you think this could be a possiblity? It just happened to get this loud after I did the car wash also. Really wierd. I probably am goin to take it later this week and put it on a computer. Auto Zone doesn't have a computer for a car this old. Thank you again.
It is not suprising that autozone probably does not have they code keys either. If you have a paperclip you can code the system. At your DLC connector it will be two on the end up and down from one another since I have had my scanner I haven't had to code the old fashioned way but there will only be one set on the end up and down from one another. Put the clip in there and then turn the key to the on position and count the flashing light it will do entry code 3 times then trouble codes 3 times each then the finish code 3 times. I will have to look at my other machine, wondering if that has a mass air flow sensor. There are just so many things that get a little funky from getting wet, not to mention with age. Let me know what you find.

Thanks for replying so quickly! I took the plugs and wires off and replaced them with new ones again. Still running funny. I will check the vacuum on the intake. I sure hope that's it. I noticed there was black oil on the plugs that I replaced. Could this be a sign of something more serious? It seems to loop when running and doesn't have as much pick up at low speed. Also seems to be idleing too fast. I am pretty good with car stuff except for when it get's to this point. The timing should be self adjusting correct? There is no slack in the serpentine belt. All other wires seem to be attached. I will check what you suggested tomorrow, but in the mean time if you think of anything else please let me know. By the way you were right on with my daughters car. Same year and make as this one and it was the crank sensor! Unbelievable how I got the answer from you, when other mechanics never even suggested it.
