Dear, sir my AUDI A4 T1.8 S line was the time bealt cut once i was drive it on low speed about 30 to 40km now i feel worry about my car engine is it ok ? do i need just to chang the Timing Belt only ?

Hi Sam,
The 1.8 Audi engine is referred as "interference" style engine. The timing belt breaks, then the pistons and the valves can "interfere" with each other. Actually hitting each other. Possibly bending valves and or cracking pistons. So--------
Some money will need to be spent to find out if further damage other than the timing belt replacement.
This process can get real expensive.
Check around carefully and ask a lot of questions before proceeding.
You could spend many, many, hundreds of U.S. dollars with no results if you are not careful.

I have a 93 audi 90s 2.8 v6 and i need to change the timing belt but im not sure which way to turn the crank clockwise or counter to line up the lock holes on the cam sprockets...... please help!

to be sure, have someone bump the starter while you watch the belt. It will usually not turn the wrong direction. Another way to tell is where the tensioner is located (assuming only one tensioner) . The crank gear must pull the belt directly to the cam

Timing OK?

You did it the right way. If you tried to make a full cam revolution you would have hit the pistons with the valves. Put the lower timing cover and crank pulley back on. If the cam marks are aligned right and the mark on the lower timing cover lines up with the mark on the crank pulley, you're good to go.

What is the recommended milage for a timing belt change on a 2004 Audi A6?

Audi recently increased the service interval on these belts from 60,000 to 80,000 miles. You cannot do a timing belt inspection - you must replace it at the specified interval due to the fact that a belt may look good but can still fail due to undetectable stressors in the belt itself when it reaches this mileage.

You do not say which engine variant you have in your car but 80,000 is now the general belt interval that is specified.

Hope this helps.

Timing belt for audi 4

Nope, that's about right at an Audi dealership for parts and labor. Find an independent shop that specializes in European cars and talk with them - you'll probably be quoted more around $700-800 for the job, because they don't charge $100+ per hour like Audi does, and may allow you to supply the parts to them (check out and for timing belt kits - they're around $250 or so).
