Did you check the master cylinder pushrod? It's under the dash, oddly to the right of the accelerator pedal. Mine had bent because the lockwasher had loosened. Very simple replacement/adjustment.

Did you put the clutch arm in the throwout bearing properly. There may be an clutch adjuster rod that needs to be properly adjusted. Also if it is a hydraulic clutch, you may need to bleed it in order to get any air pockets released. Good luck!

When you had the flywheels shaved it may have moved the pressure plate fingers to far from the throwout bearing

Any idea on what might be the problem with my hydraulic clutch system (and what/how to fix)?

Hi,if you are loosing clutch flued the most likely place is the slave cylinder as you have already replaced the master cylinder, its proberly leaking inside so you cant see it.
I mean all you have is one slave cylinder atached to a pipe wich attaches to the slave cylinder so if theres a leak it has to be from one of these parts.
let me know when you find out,all the best.

Replace clutch hydraulic

Replace them both, the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder. New clutch fluid, bleed the slave cylinder, and clutch should be back.

92 Toyota Pick up clutch doesnt enagage after replacing clutch, and flywheel?

are you sure the driven plate is on the correct side? The clutch bearing is correct on high? Does the slave or master cylinder works ok? do they keep steady pressure when needed? Is the clutch kit the correct part according to engine type?

I just had my clutch done and flywheel cut down to toyota specifications , but I cannot get into any gear. Someone told me that it may be the syncro in the transmission. can you help me with this? what...

If the clutch was done correctly and that was the original problem that push you to do the clutch, would be a good idea to recover the gear oil in your trans axle, the condition of this fluid may give you and idea of what is going on, silver in color worn-out syncro or other components, metal shavings ans silver in color damage gears.

I cant put on gear when I start the engine.

Check the clutch master cylinder, the line to the slave cylinder on the bellhousing and the slave for leaks. If fluid is low there is a leak. Master can "bypass" as well similar to a brake master in which case it wont leak but the slave won't move when the clutch is applied. If that system is working then the clutch likely has worn out.

The trans will need to come out. While your at it, just replace the clutch assembly, rear main oil seal, resurface the flywheel, and the clutch master cyl. Its not really a job you should do, find a repair shop to handle it.

Clutch Sometimes Slipping in 4th and 5th gears!

Hi Jackiaria

Unfortunately you have a hydraulic clutch, which is self adjusting on your car.

The problem you are experiencing is the excessive wear to your clutch, or oil contamination on the clutch plate.

Both these problems can only be fully diagnosed once the gearbox is removed and the clutch is inspected.
There is also a possibility of excessive wear, or scoring, on the flywheel surface, the longer you drive the vehicle with a slipping clutch, possibly requiring the flywheel to be skimmed.

Shop around for a best price, and a trustworthy garage !

Good Luck !

A FixYa rating would be Nice....Thanks.....John.

The problem is very unlikely to be your flywheel it sounds as if your clutch diaphragm spring is either cracked or distorted.Sorry but it sounds like a gear box /clutch job not to bad .The scheduled time is 2.6hrs hope this helps
