It sounds like you may have a broken driver's side motor mount and when you turn left. the motor is leaning to to the right and pulling on the throttle cable and linkage.

This could be a dangerous situation if a broken mount is the case. I suggest you take it to a qualified shop for review and/or repair.

I hope this helps :)

Passing gear problems

sounds like the kick down cable is stretched or out o adjustment. it operates a valve on the driver side of the tranny. when the cable brakes or streches it wont open the valve far enough to allow tranny fluid to pass. i would inspeck the cable at the intake to make sure it was properly conected and down at the tranny. replacement would also correct your down shifting issue.

Dodge dakota doesnt move when gas is given

Transmission or torque convertor. The Dakotas have had a lot of problems. Our 2005 trans is in the process a complete rebuild right now due to a failure of a trans oil cooler line. The leak starved the planetary gears of fluid, causing them to seize up.

The part under the shifter i do not know what it is called what is happening is it kicks out of first gear and will not go into 4th in the 1993 standard dodge dakota

this sounds like an internal issue with the transmission. there are syncros inside that run this, this requires the transmission to be removed and taken apart for repair

Hard shift from 1st to 2nd, then 2nd to 3rd.

Dont think they changed it yet but the older chrysler units had a rod that went from the throttle linkage to the transmission (maybe a cable now)...If you lengthen the rod it will increase shift pressure and give you an earlier shift.
