SOURCE: what kind of power steering fluid for a volvo s60

To avoid foaming and get the best longevity from your power steering unit, I would use "Automatic: Volvo transmission oil 1161540-8" which is Mobil 3309. It is a synthetic and will work well.

SOURCE: Where is fuel filter on 1998 Volvo S70 non turbo?

the fuel filter is located underneath the rear passenger seat next to the canister box (the canister looks more like an air filter box housing. All you need is an 1/2 inch key to loosen one screw and pull on one end of the hose/tube to release it from the fuel filter. Pull opposite the unit. your best solution is to look to buy it on line so you have an idea as to what you are looking for then check against the info provided to you. I just did mine 15 mins. next to the rear tire. You will need to jack up the rear tire for easy access

Check for vacuum leaks make sure the crank ventilation pipes are not crack or split, disconnect the mass airflow sensor and see how it runs, it could be that also.

They may not be firing. I would check spark from coils. You may have a bad coil pack. Do check for any vacuum lines. You can go to autzone.com and register for full free online repair manual

Replace the cat you have ran it for years with a bad 02 sensor so now replace it and you will get better performance and better gas miliage. Never run a check engine light fo a long time it's telling you something is wrong. youer lucky you did not destroy the engine.

You may have a bad ignition coil or possibly a bad coolant temp. sensor. You can check for a bad coil by removing the covers for the plugs and gently lift the individual spark plug wires from the plugs while the engine is running. With the wires lifted off the plugs a small amount you should hear the spark making a ticking noise. If you lift it to far it could seriously shock you so be carefull.

If it's a bad temp. sensor the dealer will have to monitor the sensor and check it with a non conotact thermometer to verify it is correct.
