These are repairable, fortunately. Our company repairs them in a manner that precludes the problem from occurring again. If you re-solder the surface mount resistors, the unit will generally quickly fail again due to oxidation on the old components. We install all new components, and guarantee out work!

The overhead console compass, and outside temperature gauge's light either went out, or it isn't working anymore. How do I fix it?

This is a very common problem with many of the mid 2000 Ford truck and SUV overhead consoles. The console is very prone to internal failure. If the dome lights work but the compass unit does not then it is a faulty computer unit. I offer a reasonable repair service with a lifetime guarantee, check it out: www.autoclockrepair.com

Is there a fuse for the overhead compass/temp dispaly for a 2006 Toyota Tacoma and where is it located?

The 10 amp IGI #2 fuse controls several other components including the dome light, cruise control, and brake lights. If these are working but the compass is dim, intermittent, or dead then the control module has gone bad. You can get a replacement from toyota but I believe it costs $500+.
