Under hood, driver side, rear engine area, above master cylinder, mounted on firewall.

Check relay for continuity?

Also on my old saturn SL2 i was able to place a 10 guage wire in the relay slot to check if the fan would turn on. Take all necessary precautions when testing like that.

I jus brought and 1995 nissan altima. One of the radiator fans does work and I was wondeing if that could make the car shake? It only shakes midly but when i turn on the ac it shakes bad.

If the air conditioner is overcharged it can cause this to happen. Also that fan will need
to be replaced because it helps the condenser for the air conditioner to cool the air.
someone may have overcharged the a/c to try and compensate for it.
The lack of cooling will cause overheating of the engine without that fan replaced because it is also the radiator fan.
Hope this is useful.

Why does my 1992 Dodge Dakota have power surges when the temperature gauge reaches a certain level or the head lights are on?

Souns like a bad earth some where, an earth that one of the engine tempriture sensers rely on fo ground as well as you head light return.

that's tho only logical explanation to my mind.

Here is a Idea worth trying! put a fresh earth th the head light return! that woud probably cure it! if so who cares where the bad earth is then, save hours looking for it eh?

Boiling coolant hyundai santa fe

emma, how is the coolant level? Have you had to add any? Check the cooling fan(s) to make sure they are kicking on when the engine temperature rises. If they are not going on, check for a bad cooling fan switch.

1988 Audi 80 cooling fan does not start(overheating)

You won't know which until you check. Unlikely the wires. Fuse or sencer most likely. Check the large fuses first. If it is the fuse then check the wires as somthing the matter with them or the fan itself. Turn the fan with your hand (with engine turned off.) it should turn freely. If all this is ok then you need a senser.

MAKE SURE WATER PUMP WEEP HOLE NOT LEAKING.IF SO REPLACE IT.MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 50/50 MIXTURE OF ANTIFREEZE AND WATER.MAKE SURE YOUR COOLING FAN IS WORKING .IF YOU GOT A CLUTCH FAN IT SHOULD NOT BE LOOSE OR FREE WHEELING.IT SHOULD HAVE RESISTANCE WHEN YOU TURN IT BY HAND.IF YOU GOT ELECTRIC COOLING FANS TURN ON AC SWITCH TO SEE IF THEY COME ON IF YES FANS WORKING IF NOT COOLING FANS RELAY IS BAD.ALSO SCAN IT TO CHECK COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR.TOO SEE IF MATCHING THE ENGINE COOLANT TEMP IF NOT REPLACE IT.IT WILL CAUSE YOUR COOLING FANS NOT TO COME ON AT A SET TEMPERATURE.CAUSING ENGINE TO OVER HEAT.. .

Cooling fan wont turn on

check your fuse to see if its blown. Do you have one or two fans? If you have 2 fans turn your ac on to see if the other fan comes on. If your fuse is good you probably have a bad fan

Were are the sensors for the engine fans in a nissaan sentra gxe

One of the common things that gets missed at times is the radiator is down in cooling antifreeze. The car will act as normal during the warm up cycle and then the temperature guage will rise and then it will slowly come back down as the thermostat opens and/or the electric cooling fans come on. In actuality the engine is overheating, but it is not boiling over. The level of abtifreeze is at just the right level of lowness that you experience this phenomenon. After the engine cools off , (DO NOT REMOVE WHEN HOT - YOU CAN GET SCALDED WITH BOILING WATER/ANTIFREEZE)), remove the radiator cap and check the level within the radiator and also the antifreeze reservoir level. You can buy a 50-50 mix of antifreeze and water that is ready to put into the radiator. If the level in both the radiator and reservoir are correct, you may have a bad thermostat or some other problem.
