Old mechanic's philosophy; If you have fuel, and you have spark, it should run. Some more info would help. Did it run before? What happened immediately before it stopped running?
What is it? Give us some hints and we'll help you get mobile. Cheerfuls.
No cranks is here https://www.jeepdied.com/no-crank.html TURNS OVER MEANS ZERO. the starter just CRANK. THE START MOTOR TURNS IF lucky so does the crank shaft turn. then the engine starts and runs, (this is not turns) it's running the EFI then sustains running , if ABS stays happy. the engine can also stall.
the car needs to crank fast the crank shaft must spin fast , near 300rpm cranking, if that works
we say, car cranks good but will not START and stay running.
not diesel right?
the next thing is spark got spark on all cylinders of not stated
opted new engine?>? what engine is there.?>
how many miles.
does your engine have a cam belt , ignored for 9 years.>?
over 50 causes. Id never guess. why would I?
what works best is called Diagnosis, saving a ton of cash
on wasted parts Gue$$ing.
i cant decode your post.
Ok tank is full of fuel?. (lots of gas?) so is one of 6 engines not 7.
will not start.
but all cars must crank fast to start. cranking its called.
go to netflix, click, Henry Ford watch him crank his car.
funny to watch, and is why we call it cranking....
my car push starts and gravity starts. (w/starter in car missing)
so does it crank? fast?, the crank shaft pulley in front of
engine spins fast, and then fails to start the engine>?
my wild guess is YES. it cranks good.
i decode "lots of battery "is (cranks fast)?
if yes, check for spark next , even to the point of new spark plugs
got 200k on those spark plugs do you?
ever get a tune up ever?
cranks >>>starts >>>runs...and not stall.
if it has spark ,it will run on test fuel ,does it?
do the full tune up then. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=064Ilsz8Fzg&NR=1&feature=fvwp
next time you post engine questions, do tell which of 7 engines you have.
1.3 L I4; 1.5 L I4; 1.6 L I4; 1.8 L I4; 2.0 L I4; 2.3 L I4; 1.4 L DieselI4
we can not guess engines, it must be stated.
does your engine have cam timing belt, if yes, ever replace it in
last 60k miles. per the operators guide.?
which engine, they work different.
you saw gas where.?
you saw fuel where??
you saw something turn, what?
it cranks robustly (250RPM = robust)?
the engines cranks over, (i see pulley spin fast on crank)?
the engine fails to start and to RUN (sustained).?
you lost spark to 4 or 6 clingers, all are dead spark?
so you place the diagnostic jumper wire and crank for
and release the key,
got DTC error codes, bingo.
if not bad spark is bad coil or bad ignitor that drives said coil.
next is fueling but above is all first.
fuel is always LAST. (ECU cuts fuel for many reasons) ask.
turn over means , ZERO !
does the starter turn over or does the crank shaft turn over.?
see that gross ambiguity?
engines CRANK , the starter can spin fast and the crankshaft sits still.
then starts (EFI does this part, spark and fuel)
then sustain start called running. (EFI keeps to so...)
its 3 steps, which does yours fail. no crank>?
if confused, look at the crank shaft damper pulley.
you can see the actually crank spin .
most folks know the sound of cranking is good. a very unique sound.
