Unfortunately it looks like you have fried your ECU as well. Get the diagnostics done and if it can be read than fine, if not you need to get new one.

check fuses rated 30a - 40a and main relay if everything are good, might be the car's ECU is fried.

Replaced battery in 2008 Infiniti QX56, battery cables w mistaknly placed on wrong posts, lights came on starter wouldn't work radio wouldn't work & dash lights didn't work. Is this just a blown fuse

no ---fuses just pass power in any direction
You can check for a blown fuse as the reversed power supply may have shorted something out
it could be a fried ECM or a failed diode from the wrong power direction flow
lights will work with current flow in either direction
starter solenoids need a direction to move in on starting so it will not work with the wrong direction of power
radio could be blown internally

Car starts off jumper cables

First-- the negative cable from the charging vehicle ,
does NOT go to your battery,it goes to the engine block

Only the positive cable goes to the vehicle being jumped

You will have a large 100 amp fuse or fusible link, that may look like a fuse or a hidden buss bar

You will need a wiring diagram to find a test point or place to open
things up
You may have fried several feature, once you get it to start & is drivable

2001 Mazda protege radio and lights in car not working after jumper cable s were hooked up backwards

Connecting jumper cables the wrong wat around most likely has damaged electronic components such as a radio and computer.
Check the fuse box and replace any blown fuses.
If you still have problems then get an auto electrician to fix your car.

Where is the fuse for the Alternator located?

There is a 125 amp fuse in the relay box and a 10 amp cluster fuse in the instrument panel fuse box. That cluster fuse may be powering the field coil.
