2005 Suzuki Forenza warning light: Right side of dash, looks like a steering wheel with exclamation point to the right of it....Power steering seems fine and fluid is full. What is this?.....Thank you!

Speed Sensitive Power Steering

(SSPS) Warning Light

Your vehicle is equipped with Speed Sensitive Power Steering (SSPS).

This is a computer-controlled power steering assist system.

The warning light you are describing will come on briefly when you turn the ignition to ON as a check to show you the bulb is working.

Then it should go out after a few seconds. If the warning light does not come on, have it fixed so it will be able to warn you if there is a problem.

If the warning light stays on, or comes on while you are driving, the SSPS system may not be working.
Your computer will need to be scanned to determine what the problem is with your SSPS system.

What does the warning light (an exclamation mark with 3 wavy lines underneath) mean?

The owner's manual should have a key to all the dash warning lights, but i'm just going to guess it has something to do with an electronic traction control system.

Hope this helps,
matt

I have a diesel suzuki swift and have a warning light come on after a few miles the car runs ok and ive had the light reset but local dealer said it might be a regasification valve ive never heard of this...

that seems to be with the hight voltage system. try to replace the wires coming to the ignition plug and a barrel before them. I had the same problem on my old care and that helped me much. The computer usually shows the error with the catalyst system - this is due to the lack of the light on one of the ignition plugs.
