There should be a couple of screws at the arm rest and sometimes at the door handle. The rest should be plastic " rivets". Use a flat head screw driver and slide in the tip at the bottom of the door panel between the panel and the steel door and pry. Don't be shy it may take a little force to "pop" these loose. There will be 3 or 4 across the bottom and 2 or 3 up each side. When all are popped loose you can slide the door panel up off of the lock and the window rubber.

How to Re & Re a door lock actuator on a Lincoln Mark Vii. Please be spefic to a Mark vii. Any diagrams would be helpful. Thank you

instructions directly from my service manual...
1.) Remove door trim panel and water shield.
2.) Disconnect actuator motor link from door latch.
3.) Remove screws or drill out rivets attaching actuator motor to door.
4.) Disconnect wiring connector.
5.) Remove

To install, reverse removal procedure.

The toughest part for most first timers is step #2 because all too often they have never seen this type of connection of two or three metal rods held together with a plastic clip

the thing to remember is that the clip is just that...clipped on. Once you unclip the plastic connection you then remove one rod at a time

good luck and keep us posted

Motor shuts off during the ride 89 Lincoln Mark VII LSC

It is probably in the ignition controle module, this is a common problem with some modules. Once it gets hot it will cause the car to shut down. You can remove it and get it tested. It can be located in one of two locations on the bottom of distributor or on the driver side fender well.
