Question about 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
Since we cannot comment on the estimation for the proffesional work the fact is that spares of Mercedes-Benz is expensive. The leak has to be plugged, the transmission system has to be overalled and possible damaged parts replaced. What could be suggested to have it open for overalling, clean the system and reassemble with newtransmission fluid.May be a freelancer can do it.

Testimonial: "Thank you. My husband contacted an independent transmission repair shop, who basically said the same thing you did. He's having it checked now. "
8,000$ sounds a bit too much but the parts are really expensive. didnt they explain how did the coolent get in to the trans. it could be a leaking cooling coil of the trans located in side the raditor that for sure needs to be replaced but u can try by flushing out the trans fluid but the process has to be repeated three or more times. the trans is in a running state???? or did it stall... do quote more. !!!!
