Wheel change on a Fiat panda

Great car i saw it on top gear lol. To change a tire, you will need a car jack, lug wrench, and a spare tire. Just put the lug wrench on the bolts and spin away. Make sure that you undo the bolts in a "x" pattern.

Rim will not come off

put 1 lug nut on a few turns do not comletely tighten and hit tire on inside with a mini sledge hammer do not hit rim, if you have aluminum rims this happens because of the oxidation and gets stuck on the brake rotor

Nuts off and rim wont come off

With the vehicles tire raised off the ground and firmly supported (I generally put the spare tire under the chassis so if the jack falls the vehicle won't hit the ground). Spray wD40 into the bolt holes where the lugs were so it gets between the wheel and the mounting flange. if you can remove the center cover on the wheel, spray in there too. Then, use a steel bar, baseball bat or something long and heavy and strike the side of the tire (not the wheel, especially if it's not steel).
99% of the time the wheel will come loose.
When you get it off, be sure to clean any corrosion around the center hub as that is what makes the wheels get stuck. I generally put a swipe of grease there to prevent further corrosion.

How do you take off the spare tire from a 2004 escalde

The jack handle fits though a hole in the rear bumper and you turn it and a cable lets the tire lower to the ground. Most cars and trucks with this tire mounted under the rear of the car use this way to hold the tire up until needed, The foot on the end of the cable can be sid stepped and the foot pull though and the tire is free to be put on the car, Many aftermarket wheels won't fit on the foot on the end of the cable and you'll have to put the flat in the car to get it to the service center and then the spare can go up in there and the shop will likly put the spare back where it belongs for the event that you need the spare again.

Do i need to replace all four tires if one went flat? what are the limitations of the spare?

You only have to replace the one that went flat, but if the other three are well worn, you may need a full set.

Plus, you generally cannot mix tire tread "on an axle", meaning tread on the front wheels should be the same, tread on rear wheels should be the same, but tread on front and back wheels do not need to be the same.

For the spare, it depends on if it's a full spare, or lightweight spare, meant to get you to a tire repair location. If so, limits are usually written on the tire, which is typically 50 miles and (I think) max speed of 50 MPH.

My spare won't come out.

If you apply enough force to the bolt using aq big wrench, you can snap the bolt.(not super bad and can easily be replaced) Otherwise, spray it with a good solvent several times for a day or two and see if it helps.

Replacing spare tire winch 2004 chev trailblazer

I have a '02 TrailBlazer and I had the same problem. When I got a flat and went to change the tire on the side of the road I was not able to get the tire off the winch. Luckly, I have AAA and the driver knew the trick to getting the tire free. The process involved lowering the tire as far as it would go and then kicking it. Wind back up and repeat until the winch free's itself.

When I took the car into the shop to get the tire fixed and the have the spare put back on the car, they were not able to get the winch free enough to put the tire back on. They said that is is a common problem with this mechanism and suggested replacing the winch system (estmated parts and labor $215). From what I can tell the winch accumulates rust up in the cable and locks up.
