1997 Ford Ranger 2.3L Hard Start

I love my Rangers, and it sounds like you need a new starter drive, better know as the bendix. It is cheaper to buy a new starter. As far as the door locks, I would get the starter fixed first and the door lock problem may go away. sounds like the starter is dragging the power down and could cause a number of strange thing to happen. Hope I have help you solve your problem. I think It will.

CANT PROGRAM KEY FOR FORD

How do you program the key to a 2001 Ford Focus? 1. Turn the ignition from off to run four times in six seconds. 2. Turn the ignition to off. The car will chime to confirm that you've done everything correctly so far. 3. Press any key on the first remote you're programming. Perform this within 20 seconds of step 2. The car will chime to confirm programming. 4. Repeat step 3 with each additional remote.

Went to start my ford ranger and the alarm keeps going off when i turn the key, cant start it, can u help?

I too had this porblem. I[m guessing you changed your battery out. Your car alarm system need 100% power. That small interruption is the cuase of your problems. Look up on your alarm system how to reset the module.
