Hi:
The fuseable link is a high amperage rated circuit, that will blow, or open, if the current is too high. When that happens, you won't have any 12v power on that circuit. You can check them with a multi meter, with the battery disconnected.

Check your fuses. You probably just blew a fuse. Worst case scenario would be your ECU is burned out, which is highly likely if the fuse didn't blow quick enough.

You blew a fuse. Im guessing most likely culprit is a fusible link. try both sides of fusible links found by your battery. both sides should show your approximate battery voltage. check all fuses especially ones that show power regardless of the ignition switch being on or off.

The alternater failed causing all of the fuses in the fuse panel to blow and there are multiple shorts even after replacing the alternater and fuses in the 85 300zx v6 turbo.the car starts fine but runs...

Instrument panel, gauges, and speedometer arinoperable...is this due to a computer chip somewhere?


I have had similar problem ('88 ZX). Check to see if any of the fusible links in the small box near the battery are blown.
