Question about Audi A4

Open Question

Hi, I am writing to seek for your advice to the problem that I facing for my Audi A4.1.8 TFSI which going to a years old this November. The problem I am facing is the white smoke coming out from the exhaust during morning start-up in-regardless of the cold or hot environments/condition (Singapore is a tropical country which having temperature difference not more than 5 to 8 degree for night and day) The white smoke will only come out after the car being warn up in the morning and It persists till I drove off (Easily 5-10 minutes), this problem is only happen after I had done my 15,000 km-1st servicing sometime in August this year and I also notice that the oil level has been drop to 1/5 just after 1 month of servicing and the turbo only kick-in about 3000RPM. Just feel that it sluggish and not like a car with Turbo charge I had made some enquiry to fellow Audi owner which having the same car model, The feedback from them is that there will be a little white smoke but it gone away in not more than 30 second. I strongly believe that the Audi cars are Built to the highest Precision & Quality and Audi expertise should be able to answer and provide a solution to my question as stated below:- 1) What is the cause of the white smoke from the exhaust? 2) If it is due to the water vapors in the exhaust, why this happen and how does it happen? 3) How to rectify this problem? And what need to be done for this rectification. 4) Is t due the head gasket blown or Valve stem seals problem? SOURCE: ABS, ESP, Level warning lights (2004 Allroad TDI)

I had the brake light switch replaced by a local dealer. Cost was $140 and it fixed the problem. Have driven the car for two weeks since and no lights and all systems normal.

SOURCE: White smoke billows out of exhaust. I think it is the turbo.

whatch for a clogged crankcase ventilation system. internal crankcase presssure(excessive) will push oil out the turbo shaft seal. also you have a supply line for fresh oil to the turbo and a return line. if the return line gets carboned up and there is nowhere for the oil to go it will push out through the turbo shaft seal.

SOURCE: 02 Audi a4 losing power

You have blown a turbo charge pipe somewhere, check all hoses...Once this happens the car will begin to run very rich, as evidenced by the black smoke. Do not continue to drive like this, as the raw unburned fuel in the exhaust will clog the catalysts and that can be very expensive.

THi there; The V.ehicle identification number usually includes the code you seek. The owners manual explains the meaning of each number and letter in the VIN. Good Luck and thank you for using fix-ya.
