Question about 2001 Buick Century
A plugged cat could cause the car not to accelerate or even stop it from running. This would also throw an 02 sensor code. However if the 02 sensor itself just happened to be bad, then the car would have a misfire but would still be able to accelerate just fine. I have had a bad 02 on my truck for 3 years and still drives fine with slight misfire. The cat could very well cause this. A bad throttle position sensor could also cause this. If the computer says cat, then it is accurate.
