Milky appearance on the oil cap

Generally that means water in the oil. Is the oil on the dipstick the same color? If so, it could potentially be something very bad, such as a leaking head gasket or coolant passage that is allowing antifreeze to leak into the engine when under pressure. If the milky appearance is just on the refill cap and the oil on the dipstick looks normal, then you could just have a small amount of water from condensation. That can happen if the vehicle sits a long time without being used.

Where is the high pressure oil line on the head located on a 2000 Ford F-250 7.3L Diesel. And is it hard to reapir? Bad oil leak.Thank you. Rev.Michael

Most oil leaks on this engine occur in the valley of the engine at the back of the oil pump. If you look directly down into the center of the engine infront of the turbo you will see the back of the pump and the potential leaks at the plugs on the pump and the output lines to the heads.

Oil cap

Yes this is a potential problem,

1.) moisture from not changing your oil often or car was sitting.
2.) Head gasket is blown causing coolant to blow through into oil.

When you pull dip stick is there white creamy substance on the dipstick

Oil

Check the oil level, check that there is no leak and that oil is not being consumed inside the engine.
If oil is low it can be because of a bad gasket, a broken oill filter, or engine is getting old and starts burning oil inside the cylinders, you see black smoke from exhaust when this happen.

If you just want to reset the warning you can unplug battery cables for ten minutes. You mey be asked car stereo security code when connecting back.
