My light under the hood of a 2001 gmc sonoma does not work, but the bulb is good.

Bang on the retraction unit that hold the light ... sometimes they get sticky and dont enguage contact when the hood is opened.

It should be by your fuses either inside or under the hood. It will look alot like one of your relays.

hello first open hood go behind headlamp is not working turn the light socket counter clock wise out comes socket and bulb bulb pulls out reinstall new bulb reinstall socket turn clock wise turn on head lights check low beam then hi beam both working well job done.

no That has a dual contact base and you need a single contact base like a 1156 or 89

Battery Dead soon after service engine ligt came on


it sounds like you have a poor battery and a draw on your truck put a low amp clamp around the positive battery cable with the truck off and key removed from the truck for 10mins. then if you show more than 350mamps you have an excessive draw to find what is drawing the battery down start removing fuses starting with larger fuses until the amp clamp reads below 350mamps. then you know what circuit is causing the problem. check that the under hood light is turning off. common problem. good luck.

How do I change headlights 1994 Sonoma?


Look under the hood. Follow the wires to the headlights, disconnect the wires from the bulb, twist and pull lthe bulb out. They are hidden a biit under there, keep looking.

Brake lights don't work. Fuse is good, bulb is good, but brakes still won't come on. GMC Sonoma 1994.


please check your brake light switch located near the brake pedal. it could be faulty.
