Idle air control sensor or Throttle position sensor come to mind, check for codes and code history. Your fuel delivery system calibration is part of what dictates you air fuel ratio (choke).

Car won't start when warm (petrol peugeot glx t reg) have have air inlet sensor replaced as AA man suggested it was that. Starts first turn of key when cold eg first thing in the morning.

Cannot place this car as T reg is some sort of secret code to me but i would suggest that you check the temperature sensors as it sounds like the auto choke one isnt working ,although a T reg car is a 1978 surely so it would have a manual choke ?? you know the one with a knob that you pull out so you can your handbag on it? Also never take the word of a so called AA or RAC man as they are not proper mechanics but 6 month goverment training course people or failed mechanics who dont like getting their hands dirty .Any proper mechanics work on fleet truck vehicles and anyone with any sense gets out of the motor trade after they finish their apprenticeship as the wages are useless and ones social standing is below the level of traffic warden regardless of how much college you do and exams you pass as its not classed as a university type education like a degree in social history 1890 to 1893 or a marine biologist.Know wonder the UK has gone down the drain

1986 toyota truck electric choke

Is it hard to start? The choke has some notches on the side by the electric choke to lean...If hard to start cold, loosen choke screws on side and turn the dial toward close (rich) retighten adjustment screws and recheck performance...If choke stays on to long after warm up (idles fast) adjust the choke toward open or lean position. Try no more than 2 notches either way between tests...Hope this helps.

I have a 66 mustang with the 200 straight 6 in it. my carb is an autolite 1100 and when i do a cold start on it my choke plate isnt closing. im setting it by pressing the petal to the floor which is...

loosen the screws on the side of the choke (do this when the engine is cold) and rotate the housing in the direction so that the plate closes-don't crank it too tight, just enough so that it is lightly closed. When you start it, as it warms up and you blip the throttle, the tension from the bimetal spring that closes the choke will lessen, and it'll end up streight-up when the car is warmed up.

You need to adjust the automatic choke. Your choke may not be opening fully. There is a fast idle cam linked to the choke to keep the throttle open more until the engine is warm. The idle mixture screw is part 37 in the picture, but get the choke adjusted right first, and you may not have to adjust the mixture screw. See adjustment procedures at link beloe.

Like to other guy said, give it a tuneup. Also try SEAFOAM to clean carb up of slug. Also check to make sure the butter fly for the choke has not come loose, causing it the choke it down. Failed choke pull-off.
